I was driving down a country lane in my MK5 GTI, when some numpty coming the other way in a transit van cut the corner(picking his nose), forcing me to "brush" the edge. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed I had a full length scratch . It had scratched the laquer mainly on the wing and passenger door. I T-cutted the worst of it out, then applied meguiars wax and P21 carnuba. It looked good, until it rained! It's left a slightly dull patch with tiny swirl marks. I have waxed again, but fear it may need some professional buffing/polishing work. I don't think(or hope) it needs any paint/spraying. Any recomendations of either a good valeter or specialist wax etc. I'm gutted and binned the T-cut! I'm from Chesterfield. Cheers

get some pics up if you can.
t-cut is rubbish so hats off to you for binning it
it sounds like it just needs a mop running over it.

Sounds like you just went a bit mental polishing the small patch you was working on. Autoglym Super Resin Polish has got mild abrasives in it and fillers to help mask defects. If it was me I would spend a while trying to re-polish with dull bits with SRP and a terry towel pad. I managed to get a scuff out of a bumper just with SRP for example.

Auto-Glym Super Resin Polish for the win! Their "paint restore" is good stuff too.
Little pricey, but can't express how happy this stuff makes me.

I'm afraid you will struggle to get a scratch out by hand, the only product I could really say would have any chance is Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. If nothing else it will certainly get rid of the swirl marks and polish the finish up to a great shine.

I've used this with great results for minor scratches
