Title: mk3 cabriolet front wing

hello to you all.. first post on the site,lookin for info on finding new front wing for my wifes cabriolet .yes it is hers  :smiley: i drive a colour concept and a mk5 gt tdi .any info on where i could buy a wing would be much appreciated vw say golf 3 panel but its not the same ...

Like you mention, as far as i'm aware the mk3 cab front ends were slightly different and updated which utilise some of the design from the later model Golf. Hence your particular model is sometimes referred to as a mk3.5.
Surely a main dealer hasn't told you that it's the same as a standard mk3 wing if you've given them the correct chassis numbers etc?
Have you tried Euro car parts or GSF ?

The main difference between standard mk3 and cabrio is that cabrio wings are shorter where they join the sill, you can modify a standard wing to suit.

foned vw and eurocarparts even gsf no joy ..went on ebay again and got one from a scrapper ...hooray ...cheers  :grin:

as per Thai's comment - make sure it from the correct reg! Only the very, very last of the R-reg's were mk3.5 and pretty much all the S-reg onwards are mk3.5.... front wing, bonnet, mirrors and tailgate are the only real external differences.
