FM transmitter will be the easiest way of doing this. Im almost certain you cant connect an iPod lead to the standard MK4 HU (although I may be wrong)

Assuming your running an iPhone 3G.

here you go
http://www.awesomeautomotive.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=50_68&products_id=536it works with an i phone but when connected it disables the phone so basically becomes just the same as an ipod

What Im doing (when I can finally be bothered to get around to it) is Im going to buy a cheap 80GB iPod classic and connect that to my HU and leave it in the glovebox. The 8GB that Iv got on my iPhone isnt even close the the amount of music I have so it makes sense really.

Your other option is the Harmon Kardon Drive & Play.......

Pretty cheap for £30 odd......

Will connect via the charger too. Not sure about the phone option though - you could get a bluetooth doo-whackey for the calls bit....

Dan :)

the other option is to get a parrot mki9100 phone kit
http://www.awesomeautomotive.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=7_52&products_id=609
this will pair with the phone as normal but also allows you to stream music through the factory h/u
more expensive i know but you get the handsfree aswell
