Title: ARB knocking on wishbone
Post by: james_16v on 04 June 2009, 14:55
Changed the nearside wishbone this morning to try and sort the knock that I had when pulling off.
All went great with fitting but I still get the exact same knock when accelerating.
Upon further inspection I found the ARB is almost touching the wishbone on the nearside but has a gap that I can fit my fingers between on the offside.
Im guessing its this hitting that is causing the knock.
How can I sort this, is it just a case of re centering the ARB? how do I do this?
Any help is greatly received I feel like I've wasted the morning.

follow the wishbone back to where it goes thru a rubber bush on the subframe, there is a 13mm clamp bolt here.  loosen this (dont undo it fully!!) then give arb a good yank to shift it along, this wont be easy!  bit of spray lube might help.  this is assuming its just been fitted wrong, and not that somerthing is bent underneath!

Cheers, Ill give that a try tomorrow.
Its came on all of a sudden and I have definitely not bumped it to cause anything to bend so im a bit miffed as to why its started.
