Title: Throttle body sensor
Post by: Len on 04 June 2009, 09:31
I believe this is the cold start mechanism!

It broke off in my hands!

Have stuck it back on but looks to be in wrong position! That orange bit is the piston.
The car starts so do I need to do anything?

'INTAKE SYSTEM / THROTTLE VALVE ADAPTER / 2.0ltr. / / 4 cylinder: / ABF'

'switch for throttle valve'

I'll double check the number on the one on my inlet, but I'm pretty sure thats it :)

yeah its not actually on the diagram to the left, thats why it has '-' next to the part number.  Its Annoying when they do that

yeah have to watch out for those bits as the abf inlet/isv/breather piping changed on the later years. the breather diagram in particular is completly wrong for an abf its all 8v in the pics!

And give it a good polish up!
