Hi everyone
erm i`m abit stuck i saw a mk3 with polished porka alloys  in my local asdas but i wasn`t able to speak to the driver has he left before i could talk to him.
Here`s my dilemma after seeing the wheels which looked awesome i`m thinking of putting porka alloys on my gti but i want to make sure i don`t mess up.
what is the max wheel dia and width plus the offset to go for without rubbing or turning issues, my gti is standard at the mo but will eventually be lowered i guess the pcd bolt holes are the same.
nearly forgot is there any wheels to avoid which will never fit even if hell freezes over  and on the other side of the coin which really suit the mk3 golf.
cheers

You can only fit Porsche wheels to your car if you buy wheel PCD adapters.
So you'll be needing four, 5x100 - 5x130 adapters which I think will cost you about 150-180 quid.
As for the wheels themselves, I'd personally go for 7x16" or 8x16" with 195/40/16 tyres.
Offset varies on each wheel, so as long as the final offset (including adapter width) is around 15-20 then you should be fine!
For example.. if the wheels have an offset of ET35, then a set of 20mm adapters will give you a final offset of ET15.
Rubbing issues all comes down to how low you're going to go and how many arch mods you fancy doing..
