Dont fit bonnet lifters at all. They ruin the bonnet position and rub on the inner part of the bonnet. This will rust later.
If you want to know then you take out one wing bolt and the first bonnet bolt and fit the lifter bolts to that. Clip in the strut and your done.
Just watch your face when you open the bonnet. opens rather quickly

I want to fit them, but is it really not a good idea? do they all rub and cause issues?
-
My 8v came with them fitted, I them off, they stopped the bonnet closing properly and you could see the chrome through the bonnet shut line......nasty!
Don't over tighten the coarse threaded ends that go into the top of the wings or you'll strip the thread and be bu**ered. They put a big strain on the bolts because of their shallow angle to the hinges.

so basically they are evil?
shame because they would be really useful.

I have fitted a few of the Bonrath ones and they seem to stop the bonnet closing as it should.

Of all the things I've seen listed as 'really useful' bonnet lifters have to be the least likely to fall into that category.
You have arms, you have a bonnet prop, put the two together and what have you got? Bonnet lifters!
