Title: BULBS :
Post by: jamie16v on 03 June 2009, 15:08
i decided i wanted to replace every bulb on the car (apart from dipped and main beam) with LED stuff so it would give a clear white light rather than the sh!tty ginger stuff thats already there.
so,  not knowing what bulbs were what it seemed a bit of a guessing game..
so heres a quick list of what i have found so far, not alot but i am hoping others can add to this and it can then be used for reference in future.
so :

Side lights = 501/w5w

Dipped beam = H7

Main beam = H1

Fog lights = H3

Rear number plate lights = c5w

Sunvisor interior lights = c5w

Interior light = c5w

Door puddle lights = c5w

Map reading lights = 501/w5w

Boot light bulb = c5w

Front indicator bulb = py21w/p21w

Rear indicator bulb = py21w/p21w

Brake light bulbs = p21w

Reverse bulbs = p21w

Fog light bulb (there is only one) = p21w

Tail lamp bulbs = R5w for low spec models - R10W for GTI's and all models with dark tinted rear lights.

i thought of that, but even that seemed like an effort just to change a bulb.
how do you get the bumper off. and will it go back on the same
