They are however very cheap to buy.

do you have a link? i have only found the conversion leads so far to use on the newer vag coms
-
Yeah i think they are all like that.
Sometimes they sell both together.
-

would this work on an old skool corrado 9a tho, i was under the impression they didnt work on the vag-com software?
-
its getting used on my g60, not 9a engine. apparently you can fault find just the abs system on the g60's. im assuming that as a conversion cable is available then the software will work with both connection types.
-
ah ok, point still stands tho does old skool g60 diagnostics work with vag-com? i thought you had to use the old led method :undecided:
-
dont know! ill have a butchers on the corrado forum
-
yep it works apparently!

That's the seller i used. Good quality stuff.
You can use vag-com on any vw with a obd port.
They even work on 1993 polo's.
I also used mine on a 1990 Audi.
-
did you get yours working without much fiddling?
im currently working my way through this lot lol

Mine worked straight away. What trouble are you having? Which VAG-com version are you using?
-
Oooh you can hook this up to my rado and see what it says!

its getting it to connect to my laptop thats the problem. i think i need to play with the ports in device manager, but havent really played with it yet.
nick it might say why your abs is buggered, but thats about it!

Is it not communicating at all? or is it when you tried to select a module?
-
you know when you select the port when you set it up, none of them connect, including the usb option
the solution is in the thread i posted above, i just havent gone through it yet! think i have to manually number the port or something. its probably my crappy laptop
