I have read many detailing posts and done research into products etc.
I fully cleaned my Mk2 today using the 2 Bucket Method and have clayed half of the car with Megs Clay Kit..
Left to do I have:
- Finish Claying
- AG Super Resin Polish
- AG Extra Gloss Protection
- Megs NXT Tech Wax
First of all, will the Extra Gloss Protection and Tech Wax work well together? Also, I have read that the Gloss Protection should ideally be left overnight on the second coat... does this really make a substancial difference? I need to use the car tomorrow/today and I was wondering what I should do if the car gets dirty before I apply the wax? Just wash off with water and dry again? Or will I have to re-apply products? (Polish/Gloss)
My first attempt at detailing, any help appreciated!!

A couple of hours between coats of the wax will be fine. If the car gets dirty before applying a second coat, just a quick wash, rinse and dry will sort that out. You don't have to re-apply the wax after washing, the wax will just protect the paint, the extra layer will just add more protection.
