Title: Golf VR6 alloy help

Dear all I have a mate who is pulling his hair out trying to find the answer to this question.He has a Mk3 Golf VR6 on standard suspension and wants to know if alloys of size 8x17 with an offset of ET35 will fit ?

All help appreciated.

should be fine on standard suspension, will look like a 4x4 though!

Yes, run a 205/40/17 and you should be fine, I ran 7x17's all ok untilĀ I lowered it they then rubbed the arch.

I have a picture of mine on 17's with standard susp and it did look a bit high as well.
