Title: stange one.....

recently had 4 new tyes fitted, and for some reason this started as soon as they were on, but can't see how they are related at all!!  the problem is that the boost from the turbo used to kick in at 2000rpm, if the revs were lower than this, i'd change down to stop the car shaking like a jackhammer on acceleration- but now in fourth, the boost comes in a lot later, maybe 3000 or more, and also there doesn't seem to be the power that there once was.  anyone anything simliar?? or am i just imagining it??

Ok, searched and see that Dave_R and also 20vTurbo have asked, with no replies- so what is the n75 valve? what does it do, and would i be able to tell if I take the thing out if it's knackered??

It controls your boost 2 min job to change - try a vag com scan first  :wink:

Boost control valve = 1KO 906 627 A  :wink: about £34

Could also be a leaking boost pipe  :undecided:

can't make this weekend- have to work  :cry:

I've checked the pipes, they seem ok, but then again i did think the hiss from the turbo was louder a few weeks ago!! would that come up on a vagcom scan??

Its alright Rhys is bringing a massive gazebo for us "elite" only the non mk4er's are going to get wet  :rolleyes:
