Have a search on here for rear washer pipe.
you may find the roof lining is wet or and the boot floor is wet.

Make sure its not leaking into your boot, rather than blocked. Its quite common for the washer line to become blocked then detache itself. There are two common places for the washer line to detach:

1) Right behind the motor on the boot lid (often causes it to drip onto the micro switch and tell the car the boot isn't shut - also makes the alarm go off)

2) On the left hand side rear quarter panel by the headlining- there is a 90 degree plastic bend with two pipes connecting onto it. if this has become detached, there will be a collection of washer fluid in your boots cubby hole were the first aid kit is. Especially if you continue to try and use it in an attemtpt to remove the suspected blockage!!!

Do a search for rear washer jets - I posted a thread with the problem and directions on how I fixed it at the begining of the year. Let me know if you cant find it!

Well I dont have a mechanical mind at all, so problems under the bonnet I'm useless at (although I just managed to diagnose faulty coil packs without Vagcom!).

But when a simple problem like this pops up which I have already dealt with thanks to this forum, I'm striaght in there to look a little knowledgeable!!!

you can buy washer jet tools, or just use a piece of wire off of a wire brush and poke that down it a few times, should clear it.

i did the pokey thing earlier on after reading this, and it just shoots out a jet of water, if i quickly do it, i can shoot people passing by on the right before the arm swishes round, is this right? or is it supposed to be an even spray like the front?

Do you mean that when the washer arm moves, the water moves with it?

If so, your motor might be on the way out. Mine was like that when I bought my car and I thought it was a design fault for ages until it stopped working completely. New one from breakers for about £30 sorted it!!

If clearing it with a piece of wire does not work then try a air line.
