3 different ways to get power from an 8v 1. buy a 16v 2. fit a custom turbo/supercharger if your pockets are deep 3.accept the 8v is a poor performing engine and do very few mods to it (air filter&exhaust.)

There was a big fad on here a year or so ago over Powerchips!
Nobody that fitted one ever gave up any RR figures! So you can guage from that how good they were!
So dont waste money trying to make an 8v fast!

Hello mate, dont listen to the comments like buy a 16v or whatever, you would be surprised at how much power an 8v can make, you need very deeps pockets though. However, these chips wont give the claimed 20hp, realistictly they give around 5hp. They will also smooth out the power curves alot, and improve drivability and even fuel usage. Ive got one waiting to go on, just need to get the chance to put it on.

Just for info a few guys who have used them on the Vectra and Bmw forums have suffered sensor problems and poor running.

there a chip guide in the maintenence section....have a read if your serious about chipping/re mapping

powerchips chip i crap i bought one and read it to see what they did. it's just an offset map
on the 16v it gave me 3 bhp up top, sort of helped out with the torque dip but really din't do a lot. did one myself and got rather a lot more, torque hole gone more torqe from go and 12 bhp extra
