i could do with getting a new front and rear bumper
but how do i go about getting them the exact same colour as the car?
-
You check the paint code from your car to the donor.
Bumpers are a very easy job to do. Did mine in 30 mins.
-
Thats if your bolts that hold em on arent corroded and seized up like mine wer :undecided:
-
took 30mins? how many coats did you do?
cause i am thinking of doing it myself, just dont want to mess it up:)
any tips guys?
-
Ohh sorry when you say "getting a new front and rear bumper" I thought you meant you wanted replacement bumpers. Sorry
What colour is it? Solid or metallic...ect?
-
Could work out cheaper and easier to pick up a pair in the same colour s/h, to have them painted could be expensive.
-
Personally, this is from experience, im on my 4th bumper in 3 years.
Pay someone to spray it! Halfords cans, are rubbish.
Get it done once properly, or not at all.

quality fresh paint will be £80-150+ per bumper depending on colour and if the bumpers are decent quality (some "aftermarket" bumpers need major work before paintable!!)

I got a genuine red front bumper going spare
-
all i really need then is a genuine non faded read rear bumper:)
can i buy them brand new from vw?
