Hi i have a 1989 golf gti 16v it was a small bumper car but some one has fitted big bumpers on it before i got it. i didnt notice it to start with but its starting to bug me has this de valued my car?
-
its a straight forward swap back so i wont say its devalued the car, but some people might be put off slighty if you where thinking of selling.
oh and small bumpers rock!
-
I wouldnt say its devalued the car but i know if it were mine I'd have to put the original small bumpers on again...
-
I don't think it would have de-valued your car at all, and to be honest, not many people will notice the spec/year difference unless they are a VW geek from here! :lipsrsealed:
I would not worry to much, but it's down to your prefered choice. Small or big...personal taste.

dont fancy a swap do you?lol if you want rid of these and are willing to post give me a pm. think i fancy big bumpers on mine.

Do you have the 16v spoiler fitted with the skinny bumpers?
Never had a problem with front end lift in my old Golf with it fitted.
But then perhaps I didn't drive it fast enough
