Title: Question for Miltek owners
Post by: Miggie on 29 May 2009, 16:54
Seeing that JBS has a 10% discount and all in including 4motion valance (non res) i have decided to go for it.

i wanted to know what kind of sound does it produce?

Does it have the wind like (turbo blowing) sound when flooring it and does it have the popping sound between gear changes? And also how loud is non res really?

Rich,

Excellent thread you wrote there

But I more or less asked the same question at the bottom of your thread today as a mature petrolhead myself I wouldn't want anything to loud.

Perhaps we need a video of each type uploaded to you tube an the links put in your thread...

Just a thought

i was trying to get the discounted rate with the last group buy but just yesterday seen an email with the 10%. Phoned up Jbs (01246 455005) and they said £335 or £380 including the 4 motion valance. Thats all inclusive including fitting.

We have just become suppliers and installers for Miltek Sport Products, so if anyone is in need of a system drop us a line and we can quote you happy..
Miggsie you could kill 2 birds with one stone now the rolling road is up and running.

Our 1st job is a Rs6 bi-turbo 450bhp having a remap, gear box remap, full system, 200 cell cats, and non res cat back.  500bhp+ should be the end result.

The Rs6 sounds awesome with the oem system, I cannot wait to get the miltek system fitted it should sound out of this world.

See most Millteks are like you say:
Pipe Diameter: 63.50mm (2.50")
Tailpipe :  Twin 76.2mm Jet

BUT they also do a:
Pipe Diameter: 70.00mm (2.76")
Tailpipe :  Twin 80mm Jet

Admitatly they are more expensive but would it be worth getting the bigger bore? I notice some companys like Jetex only seem to list the bigger size....

I do 1400 business miles a month, so i didnt want too loud, and i have a resonated Milltek , and its just about right, sometimes a little boomy when accelerating in fifth, over 80 ish, but well worth it for the all round sound

I would definatley but again, i fact i am looking at a mk5 GTI later this year, and it will be my first purchase!!
