Title: Standard Wheel instead of Space Saver..?

I would like to replace the space saver jobby with a standard size 15" steelie. Does anyone know if it would fit in the well in the boot?

Hi mate i did this in my old car. It does fit but a standard wheel is about twice the width so your boot floor will be all bumped up in the middle. U could get some bits of 2x4 in each corner to lift the boot floor up tho if u wanted

did this on mine :) although running 14" spare rather than 14" space saver.....to get round the bump issue i got a jetta carpet and cut that to fit :) Looks not bad as im not the best cutting carpet LOL. Fits in the well ok tho :)

Also good point to bare in mind is that if you lower your car, you make the space saver, and widow maker jack abosolutly dead weight, as i cant get that under my car, and if i did manage to fit it, that side of my car would touch the ground.

So might just be easier to leave it out of the car all together! lol

Ditch the wheel and stick a couple of cans of tyre repair in - Can't get the jack under mine anyway!
