Post by: chol_gti on 28 May 2009, 16:51
hey i have a 2.0 gti and have the following issues if any1 could help that would be gr8 cheers.

1. car judders slightly and doesnt seem very responsive at all, i think it might be the maf sensor so i unplugged to see if anything differant happend but just acted the same, so could this be my problem???

2. got a noise when driving sort of a loud road noise sort of thing hard to describe, but wen i turn the wheels sightly left the noise will go, theres no knocking or anything either ????

3. when i lock my car using my key fob both doors look but boot wont lock for sum reason so its allways open when car is locked ????

4. my petrol cap doesnt seem to push in and hold, so i dont need to use the button to pop it out wen needing to fill up ?????

1 = MAF/coil pack  :undecided:
2 = wheel bearing
3 = door lock module  :undecided:
4 = something do do with the catch

i thought wheel bearings make a knocking sound?? could it be tracking or the tyre??
i think it could be to do with a catch just dunno how to fix it.
u think i should buy a new maf and see if that helps??

Wheel bearing make a whining sort of noise  :laugh: which will get louder when you go around a corner, if it gets louder going left the drivers bearing is gone ect.
have a look at the catch, make sure nothing is broken, get someone to press the button while you watch to see if anything move  :undecided:
Do you have access to vag-com  :huh: thats the first place to start
