Hi all
I'm looking at an ed 30 which comes with the optional DVD Sat Nav. On it's options list it states "DVD SAT NAV" & "DVD EUROPE". Is this a standard package or is Europe an extra option when it comes to ordering the Sat Nav?
Also, should there be a disc that comes with unit?
Thanks!

Depends on how new the car is as to whether its the older MFD2 sat nav unit or the newer RNS510 Touch Screen sat nav unit.
The MFD2 unit should come with a DVD which needs to be permanently inserted when using the sat nav - there are various versions fron v1 to v5 or 6 - ther latter ones being more up to date.
The RNS510 unit has a 30gb built in hard drive and the maps are usually pre loaded onto the hard drive for ease of use.
Either way they should have maps of the whole of Europe on them as standard.
HTH

Thanks!
The car is November 2007 - what system do you think it would have then, MFD2 or RNS510?

If it was fitted at the factory then it will definately be the earlier MFD2 unit.
There is always a chance the later unit was retrofitted by the owner but the chances are its the MFD2. In which case make sure it has a 6 cd changer or ipod link with it or you will be stuck with the radio for your music while the sat nav is on

MFD2

RNS-510

The RNs-510 is a touch screen system, the MFD2 is not.
Hope this helps.

Should be the facelifted silvered buttoned MFD2 version, not the one in the previous post.
