i buy both every month.
and i find that every month without fail i find Golf+ the better read.....
however not the cast this month,
PVW is sh!tting all over golf+,
great feature cars,
ive got to say i found golf+ severly lacking this month :-\
your thoughts? ???
-
i liked the golf before it became the golf+. now im sticking with pvw to show my dissapointment with them. how nice is simon sweetlands mark 2 :o and the mirrors on the caddy 8) makes me want to go to edition 38 show damn!! :-\
-
Yea vix I used to read the golf a few years ago. My misses asked me if I wanted a mag to read so I asked for the golf but she said she couldn't find it so bought me PVW in stead. That would explain why she couldn't find it then ;D. I wasn't that impressed with PVW really but the mk1 G40 looks a nice car exept for the colour. I love those ATS classics its running on as well.
-
lewis,
your talkin about last months,
i meen septembers PVW ;)
that mk2 your on about vix is schweeeeet :)
-
Simon's mk2 is awesome. I saw it at GTi Festival
-
I buy both but prefer the Golf
I think pvw do far to many foreign cars and people who have loads of money to through at there cars
-
both going way down hill if you ask my opinion. too many big money modded mark 4 and 5's lately.
-
8916 thats true,
but i found this months pvw to be a satifying read,
golf+ was lacking big time :-\
-
so ppl which one should i go n buy then pvw or golf+
-
having been buying both for years. Golf+ has good cars and is much more technical. PVW have the 'best' big money cars but are full of sh!t most of the time. They seem obsessed with trying to generate the latest 'look'. I mean that lupo of theirs with ronal teddies, loads of stickers and now an inflatable whale on the roof - feck off
-
I usually get both and thought the new format of the Golf+ was initially quite good. But now, it may tail off a bit from the usual golf to incorporate more of the VW/Audi family as a whole. If this happens to great degree, then I think they may do themselves more harm than good. After all, the magazine is called "The Golf", and not "The Golf and every other car in the family". So who other than Golf owners and enthusiasts will even give it a second look, let alone buy one and check itout.
Never really rated PVW, as JV says - it is where the big money is spent, also it concentrates to much on the stateside scene.
-
I have subscribed to VW Motoring for ages - its got a good mix of everything. (although I think I have read the ?200 challenge articles so avidly that they are giving me ideas :D)
Haven't read the Golf in ages, but I have read PVW recently, and frankly I was disappointed :( too much bling imo
-
so ppl which one should i go n buy then pvw or golf+
buy both ffs, there only ?3.70 each :P
Jv sums it up well,
on the whole i much prefer the Golf+, but my point was that this month i thought the PVW was v good, and the Golf+ was average.
thats all folks :D
-
buy both ffs, there only ?3.70 each :P
:o if u bought both, thats like 8 litres of optimax!!!
-
that project lupo is fookin shocking :o
are they on crack?
it looks like sh!t :P
-
they must be. but then again an inflatable whale on your roof is obviously cutting edge :P
-
along with the ronal teddies :P
-
Wats wrong wi ronal teddies??
Has anyone seen any for sale btw
-
Why don't you start your own mag based on member's motors?. That would piss over both of them 8).
-
Wats wrong wi ronal teddies??
Has anyone seen any for sale btw
eeeeeurgh yuk!! saw a set on a golf at VWoodstock. They looked terrible.!!
-
Adam, you've been very controversial just lately, whats wrong with you? ::) :D :-*
bte, what the fook do ronal teddies look like?
-
the whole center of the wheel is in the shape of a teddy bear, lol.
-
Me? Controversial? surely not!
I think unleashing me in your forum was a mistake!! I'm enjoying the freedom ;D you gonna kiss my arse in there now then? ?;) lol
Ronal teddies look just like they sound. Instead of spokes, the rim sits around a big teddy bear. Would look great on a kiddies pram, but not on a car :-\
-
really???? you sure you typed that last post in correctly :D
teddy bear??? wtf???you havin me on ??? lol
-
he sh!ts you not dubby, they are f**kin teddy bears :-X
1 word for that lupo:
sh!t :P
-
man, whats this world coming to? ::)

Neither, There both boaring, So i tend to avoid car mags all togeather now and just read sidewalk or tranworld skateboarding mags. However when i do buy a car mag, i buy somthing like BANZI or Fast car, Purly because banzi has 10000200203BHP Skylines in it, And fast car has some ok cars, boobs and is funny. But im yet to find a mag i really really like.
-
Banzai does look like a pretty interesting mag ;)
just so people dont get me wrong here, i think on most months the Golf+ is absolutly bang on, and i find PVW a poor second.
this month tho i think that PVW is ok.
however, last night i had a quick scvan thru my old PVW's.
JV is rite, they try to hard to be at the cutting edge of style in the VW scene, which i think is sad.
can anyone remember the Wraps they did a couple of monts ago?
terrible, i think the editor is a bit of a Tw@t :D
