Title: steering rack questions

is the mk1 and mk2 steering rack the same? i want to buy this Quaife quick rack & pinion kit but it only comes up with golf mk2 LHD or mk1 RHD?
but another site is selling the product as well and they are saying the golf mk 1 RHD kit fits the mk2 as well??

Mk1 and Mk2 racks are TOTALLY different.

indee, but this is the rack and pinion that goes inside them, this might possibly swap over but I cant say either way.

Email Quaife and ask them, its the only way you will know for sure lol.
