Can anyone get me a cheaper one in the SE...........I have heard through the grapevine i was looking at £80-£100!!!

Why's it so much?! I doubt they're bonded windows if it's a mk1! Can you not pick one up from a scrappy and fit yourself?

For a brand new window, fitted you're looking at £80ish I think.

Really easy to fit if you can find one second hand that is clean and not brittle, mine cost £20 and fitted in 10minutes :)

is yours tinted or something?
Bloke just sold two windscreens with a stack of mk1 stuff for about £50...was on ebay..maybes try there?
whilst its out, id check under the rubbers/around on the frame for any rust as well and get it sorted if there is any

Just found a company £69 fitted for clear....£89 green fully tinted....£99 top green tinted.

Are Autoglass on drugs ??? :nerd:

which company is this? i'm thinkin about a new screen at some point :)
edit: oh and does that include a new seal, old one might be past it!

For the cost of new delivered and fitted and seal if needed is it worth it.

Try to find one 2nd hand. Pay for the fuel to get there and back without breaking it. Fix it yourself making sure it's correct , seals fitted if neede...Back down the breakers.
Oh yes......The cost of a million phone calls to find one ( used that is)

Your choice for the sake of £70?

They charge so much I reckon because 9/10 people who need a new screen get it done by the insurance??? just a thought

I have just had to have one fitted to the polo - quoted £377 - thats with 20% discount..I got it all in for £115, rang them at 2 in the afternoon, was fitted within 30mins by 10 the next morning
I think they are just greedy robbing bar stewards, whether you get it done through your insurance or not..and if insurance companies are stupid enough to pay their prices, then they should employee people whom don't take the first price they get quoted and then we wouldn't have high premiums..

When I replaced my MK2 screen, Autoglass quoted £350, got it done at Bedford Windscreens for £70 fitted. That was green tint too.

Bedford autoglass did one of my mk2's. top tinted for about 60ish years ago.
