Hi,
Had a mishap with a low fence post and scrapped some paint on the drivers side rub strip, needs spraying, does anyone know a good paint shop in Surrey? Its Dimond Black Pearl so i'm guessing it will be quite hard to match really pissed with myself!

Not hard to match - if just the rubbing strip it should be an easy job for any decent bodyshop. Wha's your main dealer bodyshop like ? I'd use that if your car is still under warranty.

I managed to scrape the bump strip and the front and rear doors barely two weeks after purchase.
Cost me £500 to fix but you cannot tell it's had a respray.

£500
I rang a couple of places this morning and they quoted £120 and £150 respectively, luckily it is just the rub strip and only a paint scrape (about 30 cm long) I dont think the plastic itself will need any replacing.
I'll let you know the final quote once its been looked at,
Cheers,

Got any pics, if only the rubbing strip, it should be cheaper than that. More work in covering/masking the whole car, than preparing and painting the strip

I could take a pic, but embarrassingly I've never worked out how to Post them on here :embarassed:

Hi rskardon,
Although not in Surrey, I know of an excellent place in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Great quality work, VW Approved also, and very very competitive prices. Possibly not too far at all from you - depending on which part of Surrey you are from.
Let me know if you're interested!
