Title: Edition 30, buyers guide & Advice

Hi All

New to the site, currently drive an 02 S3, but looking at getting an edition 30... really would appreciate any advice or help on what to look out for with these cars.
I am looking at 57 -08 cars, have seen a couple of imports and was wondering if there are any specific differences between them and the UK spec cars?

Firstly, welcome :)

Glad to see that I'm not the only one coming from an Audi to a VW (I've got an S4)

Most of the imports will meet UK spec, but will only come with a 2yr VW warranty. Be warned, the motorpoint Ed30s are all imports and the warranty began when they arrived into the UK (in April 2008 IIRC), so they will have less than a year of manufacturers warranty left and more importantly (from my point of view) have been stood for over a year!

Funny you should mention Motorpoint as the one I was going to have a look at was second hand and I think originally came from their, it was first registered in April 2008.
Unfortunately it sold before I had a chance to get over to see it, not specifically looking for an import just it was 15K for a year old car!
