Title: Engine covers
Post by: Car nut on 25 May 2009, 17:04
Hi Guys\girls

I see a lot of people spray the OEM ones to match there car or engine pipes etc....

Whilst others replace them with the Forge Carbon Fiber one (sorry not mastered how to add the URL link on here, advice welcome) about £110 inc vat.

Is there a great deal of weight difference between the OEM and Forge? I know CF is very light as have tripods made of it.

But is this a mod done for weight reduction or cosmetic appearance?

Cosmetic Appearance. Weight saving would be removing the cover totally!
