Also there is a flat earth like cable coming from the bottom of the coilpack, but it's doing nothing

1. should go to back of the clocks if its a GTI, runs the mpg gauge on the mfa
2. heated washer jets I beleive, not the end of the world
3. runs to an earth plate on the back of the head somewhere :)
-
so does that mean my clocks would be two plugs not one?
-
that is determined by the age of car. if hazard switch on column its a later CE2 electrics with single plug clocks, if on dash its early CE1 car with 2 plug clocks.
-
it's on the column as the fusebox is the CE2 set-up

another pipe found on the TB

that is for the airbox warm air feed pipe, if its got a k&n then it can be capped off. I just get a new pipe and run it from the nipple direct to the fpr. also check round the back, there should be another blanked off vac pipe back there.
-
i thought the green pipe was for the air box?
-
yeah, the warm air feed on the airbox ;)
-
i was wondering what the small pipe on the TB is for as i took the pipe of the green plug
-
the small pipe on tb, is for the airbox warm air feed as i have said already ;)
-
so there is two? because the green T junction had the pipe for the air box
-
oh you mean the blocked off pipe. that should be blocked, its unused :)
