Title: My new toy and a big thank you
Post by: telboy on 24 May 2009, 21:08
Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the advice I've received from the forum. Time has come to get a bigger car and you'll be pleased to know I'm staying in the VW family and have treated myself to the following,...

My R36 over the last few weeks has been a dream to drive, soooo smooth and powerful and the grip,.....plus it's returning just under 28mpg on the cheap fuel !!!

Pretty much has everything and I nearly got it half price!!!

0-60 with my gps tracker has been around the 5.3 marker, without using launch control   !!

I hope to bring it to the next JKM day if there is one although for the time being, I'll still hang around here and say hi when I can, after all I had my ED30 for nearly 2 fun filled years!!

All the best and keep smiling!

In truth not quite 50% but not far off,....they seem to be holding at around £21k now with spec I have and a over £37k new!!!!,....although VW's loss is my gain as I aim to keep her for 5 years and may even wack a turbo on her after 3 years!!

Very true............................................

Dealer who sold me my new Touareg had a Phaeton on the forecourt - new was £78k, up for sale at £29995. Pre-owned, black with beige leather. Looked the dogs, but.............................................
