The exterior looks cack IMO
-
not sure on that grille thing, or the skirts, everything else is nice though! id buy it if i had the money!
-
oil changes every 1000 miles with regular filter changes
wtf that's like an oil change after every third visit to the petrol station
that front grill is horrid, and his over use of a wide angle lens makes him look like a complete bell end
-
And its a CAT D
Currently at £5.1k will it beat the recent ebay car of £5.3k ??
-
My goodness, that's alot of money for a MK4.
-
looks rubbish
hasn't even got a rear aero wiper FFS
-
They seem to be going for big amounts on eBay at the moment .....
Personally I wouldn't pay that for a cat D
-
I like it.....
only joking!
-
Whats so bad about it? apart from the front grill being a bit marmite?? it's got recaro leather brembo calipers etc etc and 330BHP
-
^^^ same here, alot of car for not much money, with a little bit spent it would be awesome and a bit of a sleeper
-
Cat D and the only thing that needing replacing was a door?!?! :lipsrsealed:
-
Looks horrid.
-
if it wasnt for the fact of it being a CAT D and that grille it would be a decent car, decent turbo, and supporting mods include porkie brembos
-
to be fair i think its pretty gd but oly because of the engine im not a fan of how it looks personally an its a cat d which puts me off
saying tht price wise i have been offered more thn tht for my 1.8t lol have been tempted 2 put mine on ebay jus 2 see what she would fetch :)

yep, easily they wouldnt buy a second hand door like me or you they prive up new door and ancillaries, labour time and spraying the whole side of the car to blend, so yes a damaged door could easily be a cat d (as cat d is the lowest catagory as well)
-

I don't think it's 'that' bad. I don't like the grille or the wheels.
I think we have a case of follow the following going on.
-
Easily put it right.
-
It only needs a few cosmetic changes imo,the std mk4 looks crap untill you change a few bits here and there.A very fast car for the money.
-
Not taking all the photos with a wide angle lens would be a start!!!
-
It's a fish eye lens. A wide angle is what he should have used.
-

A UWA lens is the best lens to use for taking car pics I thought?
Where's the problem !!

The problem is, there's a bandwagon and people are riding on it.

The car has only covered 59K aswell, loose the wheels and grill and its going to be a nice package, Did any one ask what the reserve was?

My old Focus was a cat D write off and the boot floor was crumpled, as well as the rear trailing arm being VERY badly distorted  I would never feel easy about buying a car with "history" - just not worth the risk in my opinion.
