Title: Remap
Post by: jonesltd on 23 May 2009, 20:40
Am having my TDi 130 rempped to 166 (think its called a soft eco or something) anyway, I have just noticed a quote - Quote from: AlanD on April 28, 2009, 21:20
The diesel clutches are prone to go as they generate so much torque after a remap. Goes through your gearbox like Rhyso goes through Stellas. Is that true in regards to the clutch as thats the last thing I need is more money to sort out problems?!

Right I may have second thoughts as 130 is pretty quick for me and there are sooo many speed cameras in Birmingham!!! I mainly wanted a remap for fuel saving but to save fuel and ur clutch goes then possibly not the best of moves...

Was it worth having a remap, All I do is potter abt in a way to and from work...? I guess I am a poser and travel down south a few times a year to see mates back down there. Guess body kit would be better then maybe??
