Am having my TDi 130 rempped to 166 (think its called a soft eco or something) anyway, I have just noticed a quote - Quote from: AlanD on April 28, 2009, 21:20
The diesel clutches are prone to go as they generate so much torque after a remap. Goes through your gearbox like Rhyso goes through Stellas. Is that true in regards to the clutch as thats the last thing I need is more money to sort out problems?!

Or if you have a boost leak your clutch will last over 20k, like mine has  :lipsrsealed:

Right I may have second thoughts as 130 is pretty quick for me and there are sooo many speed cameras in Birmingham!!! I mainly wanted a remap for fuel saving but to save fuel and ur clutch goes then possibly not the best of moves...

Was it worth having a remap, All I do is potter abt in a way to and from work...? I guess I am a poser and travel down south a few times a year to see mates back down there. Guess body kit would be better then maybe??

currently done 37500 miles on ma remap and the car is on its original clutch no slippage and i hammer the car not from first gear though

Ah I am currently coming to my 95k and had the car since 62k and no clutch change nor turbo so I am guessing I shud wait then? Just want my car to look nice to probably lowering it and poss body kit?
