Title: Very near miss!!!!

HI all wonder if you can help. It was a Sunny morn so i thought id drive the MK1 into work today. Whilst enthusiastically stretching its legs the bonnet popped up, only by quick reactions and rapid downward gear change meant it didnt flip up altogether.

Its popped up a few times, ive greased the catch and everything seems to be moving properly, any suggestions???

New catch or new springs, I think you have to get it as a whole thing

Check your cable routing too..........if its not routed correctly it can bind.

Turned out to be the return spring on the catch mechanism in the end, 20p for a new one from my local hardware store!
