I booked today off work to take my golf to get my alloys 'powdercoated' mattblack as some of you already know :smiley: well i got down to stockton at 8am to drop the car off ready for them to start on my alloys 3 and a half hours later the company rings me to tell me all the works done :smiley: so i head on back to their unit to collect my car walking back down i then see my car parked just behind another customers car and can see the rear wheel am looking forward to seeing how the alloys are going to look........but!!!!.......i can't believe what i'm seeing are my eyes decieving me??? erm no there not!!!!! they look silver and when i get to my golf they defo are silver :angry: :angry: i'm a little p$$$$d off to say the least!!! well the manager asks whats up and i tell them the alloys look good but they are not mattblack are they!!!! :angry: well i did tell them when i booked it in but apparently there was no note of it :rolleyes: and i'm asked why i never told them when i dropped my car off they assumed they were to be done silver to which i responed by dont assume and i did specify mattblack and you should of had it noted down or at least made sure with me this morning but nobody did well told them i won't be paying :grin: and that they will be doing the work again but this time make sure its MATTBLACK so the cars back in next monday now :rolleyes: to have the work done for the same price as quoted just annoyed that i'v got to wait another week :cry: :cry: :cry: was really looking forward to getting it back today with the new look :cry: :cry: well on a better note i did salvage something from the day :smiley: i got 'autowindows' and 'miles to empty' enabled :smiley:

How hard is it to program "miles to empty" on a mk4 Golf using VAGCOM? It would be quote handy to have.

Mate thats a EPIC fail for that company, anyone doing work on your car be it body repair, spraying or anything should check with you first so everyone knows whats happening
when i had my valances sprayed that was the last thign we discussed before i left, what work was being done
and fairplay for not paying i wouldnt of either! be worth the wait though :smiley:

as ryhs states to enable this you need vag-tacho :wink:

cheers mate tho im gutted got to wait until next week tho to have them re-done but just gotta wait :sad: though must admit although they have powdercoated them in the wrong colour they have deffo done a good job with my alloys roll on next monday....

mines costing £185 all in thats with them removing wheels/tyres,powdercoating re-fit tyre valves and balancing and fit back onto the car :wink: hth

Not bad, i got some scooby wheels in my garage i need to sort. may just rub down and spray before i get rid.

would be worth doing tbh that way least you'l have em tidied just alter your price abit to allow for that :wink: :evil:
