Title: anyone in harrogate area got a few minutes to spare??
Post by: vanders on 22 May 2009, 08:02
My son has located a 2.0 GT at Harrogate VW (Sytner) - as it's 140 miles for him to travel each way to have a look it would be great if anyone could have a quick look around the car today.   If it's not in good order I could save him a lot of wasted time.

(Blue - reg. YC55UHD)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback.     Thought he would be going up today but he took a days holiday and went up yesterday and bought it, so now 2 MK V's in the household.
Quite a step up for Ian - it will be quite a change  from his 53 plate Mazda 2 1.25!!

Title: Re: anyone in harrogate area - update - good dealer service !!

After just 4 weeks of ownership the car developed a couple of faults, one covered by VW used car warranty - the other electrical - which was not. Something to do with airbag connectors and ECP warning.

Pleased to say that Sytner have stood by the car and paid for the electrical problem to be put right, although the work has to be done by the local VW dealership in Kings Lynn as there was no way that we were going to pay to get it back to Harrogate.  So good on you Ian Astley and team.
