Title: lie to the insuance people???
Post by: phildaint on 21 May 2009, 14:47: ok, heres a scenario. if i was to say i have 1 years no claims (when i have 6 months) so i can get insured on a gti. what are the pros and cons. i would only be paying 1k for the car in the first place so would not claim if i binned it as i would end up paying more on insurance in the long run...

whats the deal if i hit someone else etc

Post by: Dan34 on 21 May 2009, 17:01: haha what a thread :grin:, but seriously as topher said you have to prove it so you would be able to get cover even if you did they would probably ring you or send a letter through in the first few weeks asking for no claims proof which you couldnt prove so they would jsut cancel your policy.

Also i declared 2yrs ncb but because my old insurance firm went bust it took ages for me to get my proof through. They cancelled my insurence and took me an age to get certificate.

When i got it they re insured me, took about 4 weeks to get.

Thinks they request it within 14 days

You must declare EVERYTHING to insurance, if they find a gap they will rape you, and they will rape you good, instead of lying, how about being legit, and doing it the right way? The implications if it all goes wrong will be much more severe, just because of you impatience.
