Title: need a "how to"

i need a how to link on changin a thermostat for MK4 1.8 20v trubo AGU..

and yes iv used google cant seem find any...
 :rolleyes:

iv recently changed the temp sensor so while im at it i might aswell change the thermostat to stop future problems AGAIN!   :sad:

i went to vw and they told me that for an agu you have to replace the whole bottle as they dont sell the stat by itself??

are you thinking of the coolant level sensor?

The level sensor is on the expansion tank or 'bottle' as you call it.

The Coolant temp sensor sits in a pipe to right of your engine.

The thermostat is pretty much under your alternator on the left hand side of the block. See my how to thread posted above.
