Basically one of my springs popped out of place yesterday , so i need a new one got quoted about £100 to have a new one fitted so i've decided to just get 4 new springs and lower the car.
Can anyone tell me some ideal springs to get, i've had a look on ebay and seen some jamex springs, are they any good?
Oh and how low should i go? I want it looking good but no rubbing at all with a full car. Will have 17" wheels on the car aswell if that helps.
Thanks.

check maintaince and info section and do a search on springs plenty of info on springs.....
I believe Eibach is the way to go, advisable to do shocks at the same time ;)

This might be the springs you want :

It depends. How low do you want to go mate?
-
well i orderd some 35mm jamex springs, i'll see how they go. i got told any lower than 40mm on 17's will rub.
-
No they wont
Lower than 40mm and the anti roll bar may rub on the drive shaft

yep, i`ve fitted them now too, did exactly what it said on the box. well worth the price.. if i could have afforded uprated dampers too i would have done that but cash wernt permitting at the time..
bargain in my opinion!. i doubt you`ll find springs cheaper.

Did you fit them yourself mate?? easy job??
-
easiest suspension job i have ever done to be honest..
you need a 7mm allen key ( which i didnt have) and a suitible swan neck spanner (which i didnt bother using).
i just used the impact wrench to undo the front top nuts and undid the bottom pinch bolt with the conventional ring spanner and breaker bar.
the rears were simple as abc.. just undid the bottom bolts on both sides whilst supporting the weight of the axle with a jack (makes it easy to remove the bolts ) once both bolts are out, remove the jack and the axle will drop and you can remove the springs..
