Title: Fitting a Milltek
Post by: rtb51 on 19 May 2009, 13:33
Considering fitting a Milltek to my 2.0 and it looks like as well as fitting the 4Motion rear valance, you also have to cut away some metalwork behind the valance. Is this just on the twin pipe system or is it for all Millteks ?
I'm not really happy to do this, so has anybody fitted a similar system that doesn't need the car to be hacked about ?

only the 4mo style exhaust - its only a small piece of metal and does not affect the structrual integrity of the car

Hi, i have done these mods recently.

I used a grinder to cut the small amount of metal from the bolt holder. the 4motion valance was a bit of a git to get on, just because of the excellent VW fit.

Honestly Milltek cat back on my 2.0 8v sounds fantastic and the fit is second to none, mine is the twin tailpiece.

well worth it,

email me if you need any pics or advice

You don't have to cut it away, you could bend it upwards out of the way like I did, then you can always bend it back down if you need to, at a later date. :afro:

The 1.8T 4Mo style system is the same part number as the TDi so the Anni 1.8T one will fit the diesel :afro:
