Title: Fog Lights
Post by: knobby on 09 August 2004, 23:09
Hi Guys

Just purchased the big bumper bit for my 8v and i am looking to purchase the fog lights too.. to be honest for foggy conditions they aint really worth having cos in my area we rarely get any.. but i wouldnt mind wiring them up to my full beam.. so the this could help the sh!tty lights the golf currently has. Any ideas how i would do this..

look forward to some helpful advice....

Dave

not sure of legality, but one way of doing it would be to have a relay triggered by live feed to headlamps and a fused live feed to relay from the battery.

If you plan to do that for gods sake dont put fog light bulbs in, nothing pisses me off more than some tosser driving around with full beams and fogs on a clear night, or during the day! >:(

You could always go for an uprated headlamp loom to improve the light output, it involve wiring up a relay to the battery to provide a higher voltage to the bulbs.
