hi im interested in getting some wheel spacers for my gof gti mk4. and wondered what id need to do and whats a good safe mm to do it to?

hello mate i have 6mm ones fitted at the front and 15mm ones at the rear but these are hubcentric ones where they are bolted to the actual hub with supplied allen headed bolts and then you use your existing wheel bolts to bolt the wheel on as normal i got these because of the extra loading on the hub being hubcentric they have a step which fits into the hub i would advise hubcentric ones over 10mm hth

yes it is  :wink: the golf has a slightly wider track at the rear anyway

Yeah a lot of people space just the rear out, or the rear out more then the front to try and bring a wider look to the back with the front track width being wider as standard on the Golf 4's, front track 59.6", rear track 58.8".

Always stick with hubcentric spacers which basically means the centre hole on the spacers is the correct size for the car, in the Golf 4 case it'll be 57.1 and they should also have a lip on them like the hub does to locate the wheel.
