Title: Oil pressure sensors
Post by: Winso on 18 May 2009, 09:45
Quick question... on a KR lump is it the high or low pressure sensor that's at the front of the oil cooler?

Mine's sprung a leak!

the white one is high pressure, brown/black/blue low pressure

Thanks!

Mines white so must be the high pressure.

Just looking at GSF and I'm a bit confused.

93447  OIL PRES SWITCH    VW/AUDI PETROL ENGS 98> 1 PIN BLACK(1.2>1.6 BAR)    4.50

Is this the right one? Although it says 'black' it is the highest pressure one there.

no thats not the one, its 1.8bar. non of the mk2 ones have a colour listed except one listed as blue, so better off going in there and askin. though personally id rather use a 2nd hand VW than a new GSF one, heard the pressure switches in particular arnt very good!

edit: white sensor has a yellow wire, blue/brown/black has a blue wire.
