Title: Hi im new hears my car

Hi im new. hear are some photos of my golf its a 1989 mk2 gti 16v i have had this car for about 2 years.when i got it there was no compression so i had to change the head gasket and re grind all the valves it now runs well. the only problem it now has is the idle valve playing up or at least thats what i think it is anyway. can anyone tell me if i can use the idle valve from an 8v golf? thanks.
