mate don't waste your time, halfords have long stopped stocking the manual for mk2's
-
I was in Halfords the other day and they've got them.
-
try giving it a bit of throttle when starting and try keep it running with your throttle see if that works
how long has it been standing ???

just got back from halfrod with the haynes in my hand which i'm releaved , teh car has only been standing i think for a week , i did have the car out last night in the rain and was wandering if any moisture got in , also i have tried giving it some welly when trying to turn it over , but to no luck , is my version a injection version or a carbretta , i thinks its a injection version but if you can clarify this for me that would be great

I stand corrected! I remember having a look at a big halfords near me and the only haynes they had was for a mk4 diesel or something.
