Title: Electric windows
Post by: petrolh34d on 15 May 2009, 16:14
Hey all

The up and down action of my electric windows on my 87 16v have been slowing down and getting gradually worse for some time now.

In fact the drivers window often sticks, and if I have to do the old give the door card a Fonsey style bang (which always gets a laugh from passengers) to free it up again.

Is there anything I can do to help this problem without having to actually replace the motors?

mine used to do that when i had a crap battery on it, does it do it with the engine turned on?

Yeah it does, but there's a good chance my battery might have something to do with it too.
