Title: Expensive Gearknob
Post by: hib747 on 15 May 2009, 09:37
Went to my local VW garage yesterday to pick up a new gearknob (golfball 30 edition one). Was quite shocked at the price, £164.00!!!  Had to buy it as i think they should have made these for the normal GTI in the first place.

I was thinking of getting the 30 ed steering wheel just for the red stitching but i've got a feeling i'm gonna have my pants pulled down over the price.

Anyone know where i can find a multi function one for a normal(ish) price

I agree with you in that it should have been put standard on the car. But yeah its a crazy price!!

Nothing on eBay. ED30 MFSW is going to cost a fortune from the stealers.

LOL,

It would probably be cheaper to sell the GTI and buy an ED30 with it already in

If they made it standard on the GTI it wouldnt make the ED30 as special. VW have always done this (a la 25th Anni MK4).

W***ers. They fitted it on the MK1 & MK2 GTI's should have done it on the mk5 as after all it was the return of the real GTI. .
