Title: mk 2 16v red grill surround!

hi all, 

 i'm just wandering if you can buy the red surround that goes around the outside of the grill (one with twin headlamp). Can i just buy the red stuff or do i need the whole grill replacing?

You can paint it with a rattle can from halfrauds or you can buy it in red vinyl sticky form on ebay or buy a new grill for a tenner.

You can buy red pinstripe from halfords thats just the right width, cheapest and easiest option! (my red pinstripe was done this way)

ok cheers, my gti is just black and i think would benefit from the red? would the vinyl or rattle can come off when pressure washed though?

You would need to buy aerosol plastic primer as well, to stop the paint from peeling off, Ferrari rosso corsa is an exact match for the original red, and can be mixed by Halfords and put in an aerosol....
