Title: Fan Motor
Post by: MK3GTI_16Valve on 13 May 2009, 23:47
The fan motor on the valver has more or less given up. Just about runs and left me stranded on the motorway when i was stuck in traffic, almost cooked the engine when it overheated :embarassed: Looks like a lot of bits need to come out to get the fan motor out. Sounds rough, hopefully just the bearings are shot. Any tips for its removal or is it a big job?

Its only a case of removing the wires and the fan cowling, once done you can remove the motor from the cowling.

I have a complete rad with cowling and new motor if that's any use to you?

PM me or Call/Text me one evening or weekend.
