Title: My New Car
Post by: Kinger8938 on 13 May 2009, 18:30
Hi There!

Im new here and just thought i'd start by putting up a few pictures of my Golf!

I brought it a couple of weeks ago, and im chuffed to bits with how it looks/runs!

So i gave it a quick wash last sunday to get a fewpics while the weather was good!

What do you all think?

im looking for some basic things to do for little expense! such as spray the wood trim, and get rid of the random RS' badge on the rear!

any ideas / suggestions of next things?

It has a dump valve but im unsure what one it is tbh, i will find out!

Very interested in the R32 kit, but unsure on how much it will cost and where to get the kit from, so any advice in that area would be much appreciated! :D

thanks!!

Matt

a recirc valve recirculates the air from the turbo, a dump valve dumps it out into the atmosphere, which is where the pshhhhh comes from :)

best front lights are OEM xenons, then anniversary, then the standard ones

rear lights, for a silver car you'll probably want US R32 lights, which are RCRR (red, clear, red, red) an alternative is the hella RCCRs

with the badge mate, ive always just used an old card out my wallet and that fits nicly behind badge, it removed badge with no damage to paintwork and it removes alot of the glue at the same time, then i just use a small amount of white spirit to remove the left over glue, give the paint a quick polish after and job done. shame it isnt a 5 door, best colour though
