Title: JOM Coilovers

Hi, i'm looking to lower my 92 8v with some coilovers. Problem is i havnt got a lot of money to spend. Ive been told JOM coilovers are pretty good and only about £200. Has anyone got any experience of JOM coilovers or can anyone advise me if there are any decent ones out there around £200 to £250. Any advise is much appreciated.

If it has to be coilovers, you'd be far better off getting a second hand set of something decent with your £200.  Spending so little on new coilovers would get you something terrible. Or you could just buy a semi-decent spring and damper setup?

i spent £200 on a set of coilovers from volksbits.com and theyre amazing!!! saying that they were on offer from £280.

apparently theyre made by FK but its the sister company called ritter... if you can find em go for them, me and my mate put them on our cars the same day and they are brilliant (mines a mk2 16v and hes got a mk3 8v)

Yeah, but when cheap coil overs are required, it's usually solely for the purpose of dropping the car as low as your budget  :laugh:.

I got the Hottuning ones from the group buy on here a while ago, and they are far superior to the Koni shocks and springs (which were probably shagged anyway) that were already in her.

They totally eliminated body roll, and the car sticks to the road like when you put your hand on a red hot oven ring... well maybe not just as painful, although the ride is very very stiff.

i would save up abit more and get some around the 400 mark, or some good second hand ones, ive got some £230 quid janspeed ones on mine and there terrible!!! if i ever bought another set i would save up abit and get some decent ones :cool:
