hello fellow dubbers bought a vr6 highline 1996 runs ok but no real throb chance to buy back my old vr6 its fast as -uck real throb machine any ideas what to do to get the highline running like a vr6 ie with the grunt these should have .I have given it a full service but still no better.

You should try and clean the throttle body. Plug it onto a Vag-com and see if there is any faults.

How many miles has it done?

160k is there a link on here for cleaning the throttle body not even sure where this is sorry

the throttle body is the the hing at the end of the thick pipe coming from your airbox on the left hand side, you will have to undo the clips around the pipe to get into the throttle body, tske it off and clean it good,

also have you  tried drilling the airbox, since doing mine, i get the bad boy noise when putting the foot down,

im getting mine repmapped soon, so should give it little more power,
