Title: 8v GTI cuts out

My car has started to just cut out. I will start her up and after about 3mins she will just cut out. She does not start going mental or anything just quietly cuts out. I start her up again and she is fine and will not cut out again.

I have noticed in the last week that she has started to idle higher for the first few minutes and then will idle properly.

Any ideas

The idle is normally about 1000 ish til it warms up then drops to 800ish when warm
cutting out could be fuel pump or ecu relays, or on mine it was crank shaft sensor, which made it cut out after about 10 mins.
